Baker's Acres' Concrete Jungle (940 N High St.)
Spring doesn't start until March is almost over, but getting your head around gardening before the snow melts away is the key to a successful foray into horticulture. Swing by during the Gallery Hop and get yourself in the mood for Spring.

On Paper (737 N High St.)
This is the time of year people start planning their fancy summer soirees. Graduations, weddings, another wedding just two months after that one, babies, homecomings . . . and I'm supposed to be glad to see winter go? Whether you need gifts, invitations, 'thank you' notes, or just something a little classier than the selection of cards at Walgreens, On Paper can get you on track.

St. James Tavern (1057 N Fourth St.)
Let's face it, the Galley Hop ain't on Fourth Street, which is why I tend to park over there and walk to High Street. The St. James is a no-nonsense neighborhood bar that is perfect for a pre-hop pick-me-up and a post-hop pint. Is it worth the walk? Maybe, especially if you like getting a drink seconds after you order it.

Z Pizza (845 N High St.)
There's no shortage of pizza in Columbus. Rumor has it that there are more pizza shops per capita in Central Ohio than there are in Manhattan, so it's easy to dismiss another California-themed franchise as a pretender. Don't. It just so happens that Z has some good pizzas, featuring flavor combinations you won't see anywhere else. They even have a damned fine gluten-free option. Definitely worth a taste.

Byzantium (1088 N High St.)
This ponderous bead emporium has featured Haitian Vodou Flags since October, and plans to keep them on display into June. These hand-beaded spiritual works of art are definitely worth a look and, if you see one you want, 20 percent of the proceeds go to the Red Cross Haitian relief efforts.
