The Interview Issue

By Travis Hoewischer

Published January 1, 2012

In the magazine world, we are hopelessly beholden to lists; Top 10 Travel Destinations, 5 Must-See Movies, 7 Meals for Under 7 Dollars. It’s as much of a binding element of the format as the staples themselves.

This, is not just any other list.

(614) is proud to present The Interview Issue, a 15-person anthology of some of the capital city’s most fascinating subjects. This isn’t just a Columbus Who’s Who, or merely a list of our most stirring success stories. While these individuals are all successful and relevant in their own right, this special edition is both celebration and exploration. Not only do these in-depth sessions highlight the personalities of our city, but they do so in a way that is specific. These aren’t just stories done by our writers, they’re conversations had with them. Think Cavett and Lennon. Lauer and Obama. Frost and Nixon.

Engaging. Enigmatic. Insigthful. Funny. Honest. Inspirational. This is our tribute not only to Columbus’ most captivating, but to the interview as a device in and of itself.
