In all honesty, it may not sound like that big of a deal, but it is to de-Novo. Owners of the bistro bar at 201 South High Street says that construction near the corner of High and Rich has made it difficult for customers to get to their establishment by limiting parking and creating other headaches. The business has suffered. So the plan is to move the operation across the way…nearer to Columbus Commons. It will mean a dramatic increase in de-Novo’s rent, but they expect sales to increase such that they will easily make up the difference.

As for the current de-Novo space, that lease runs through next summer, but they plan to renew. The idea is to convert the location into a new diner complete with pool tables and craft beer. Estimated time for the de-Novo move and the opening of the new diner is six months.
