You may kiss the bride? Sure, that’s a fine way to punctuate a wedding. But, it’s a little traditional.
But, in each modern ceremony there’s always the moment of spontaneity that perfectly encapsulates the overabundant joy that spills over on the Big Day.
For Greg and Taylor (Gibson) Cobb, they sealed the deal by looking around at the massive group of friends and family that encircled them and went into NFL starting lineup mode—giving a running high-five to their respective wedding parties.
It was a fitting moment for a couple that got engaged in a HOMAGE dressing room with a custom-made “Will You Marry Me?” t-shirt.
It was all Columbus, all day and night for the couple and their guests, who filled Brewmasters Gate, a venue that often can be seen as unassuming unless in the hands of an imaginative couple like the Cobbs. It’s not very old, but the natural light pouring through its hundreds of windows and into the three-story space, coupled with the space’s massive, wooden arched doors made it seem as if the bride and groom walked into a magical candlelit dinner for 400 coupled with the final hero scene in Star Wars.
Plus, the couple put a map to their favorite places and copies of (614) Magazine in welcome boxes for all their hotel guests, which is the finest touch of them all. You have our blessing, guys (wink). Go forth and prosper.
