No Pinterest boards necessary for this Big Day, the merging of two prolific, connected Columbus artists, who decided to use their wedding as the perfect vehicle to throw perhaps the most collaborative art show in the city’s history.
Adam, the artist, organizer and a designer, Meghan, the photographer, knitter and quilter were bonded over their love of spring rolls, sci-fi, and the artistic community, as evidenced in their wedding reception, which doubled as a final reception for Happy Together, which featured the work of more than 50 artists. The couple asked for thoughts and advice from the artists that surrounded them everyday—perspectives from multiple disciplines that were married, unmarried, and divorced, gay, straight, young and old to get multiple points of view on love, marriage, and commitment. The Cultural Arts Center—as well as the adjacent Milestone 229 and Bicentennial Park—provided an artful backdrop for the ceremony itself, a simple rite of union for two people already connected to the city they love in so many ways.
