Dave Veitch, Kraft House No. 5

In what was clearly an effort to hold us hostage north of the city, force feeding us weird drinks, Nicole stayed close to home and sent the challenge over to David Veitch of Powell’s Kraft House No. 5. When I had my first sip of David’s popcorn-infused bourbon bliss, I was in the midst of full on Stockholm Syndrome. My captor treated me well. Oh so well.IMG_1069

2 oz. popcorn-infused Watershed bourbon*

1/2 oz. Averna

1/2 oz. house chile liqueur

3/4 oz. salted vanilla syrup

1 whole egg

Pinch of lava salt

Combine ingredients in a shaker tin and shake without ice. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve with a healthy serving
of popcorn.

*Popcorn infused Watershed Bourbon

One bottle Watershed bourbon

One bag unsalted popcorn, popped.

.25 stick unsalted butter

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Pinch of black pepper

Pinch of Icelandic lava salt
