FIT FOOD

Truly living a healthy lifestyle just got a little easier for Columbus residents. With nutrition being such an important, and sometimes underrated, aspect of fitness, local entrepreneurs Eric Hayes and Channing Centeno founded Fit Food so eating well could be done at a price that’s affordable with a taste that’s delicious.

“It’s great to see people caring about their health and fitness, but you don’t see anyone actually taking the next step. It’s a lifestyle,” Hayes said.

Customers sign up online and can then select from a bevy of gourmet entrees, sides and breakfasts for the week. The meals will be delivered daily, up to five days per week, in order to maximize the nutritional value of fresh ingredients.

Fit Food uses local ingredients and all meals are gluten-free, low-calorie and low-glycemic, with the ability to make all meals vegetarian as well. The menu won’t get stale, changing often so customers can experience a variety of healthy meal options.

Each dish will include calorie, fat, carb and protein counts so that you can keep track of your daily intake.

“The goal is to get people to understand and teach them along the way,” Hayes said.
